Swift Funding Matcher

Central and Karnataka schemes for MSMEs, women-led businesses and startups: credit guarantees (CGTMSE, CGSS), capital subsidies, grants and reimbursements. Use the matcher to qualify a prospect in a few minutes, then use the funnel and process sections to take them through to sanction.

Central schemes: 17Karnataka schemes: 13Amounts in ₹ · L = lakh · Cr = crore
Step 1 · Qualify

Match a prospect to schemes

Fill in what you know from the first call. Schemes are scored on hard eligibility (stage, category, sector, location, registrations) and on fit with what the client needs. Missing registrations show as gaps you can fix for them.

Use planned investment in plant, machinery and equipment. A unit must also stay under the turnover limit (₹10 Cr / ₹100 Cr / ₹500 Cr). A greenfield unit has zero turnover, so it is classified on investment alone.
Promoter category
Zone decides the state capital-subsidy rate. Check the taluk list in the Industrial Policy annexure.
Time for machinery, installation, licences and trial batches. Above 0, the results show moratorium terms and a project timeline.
Registrations already held
Digital track record (for bank auto-sanction)
Pre-filled with a sample profile: a first-time woman founder setting up a micro manufacturing unit in a Zone 2 taluk, needing ₹40 L.

Suggested stack: Stand-Up India + CGTMSE cover + PMEGP. Loan schemes and guarantees usually combine; a state capital subsidy can sit on top of a bank loan. PMEGP and Mudra cannot both fund the same project.

Bank route

  • Branch / SME centre appraisal. No GST, ITR or bank history, so the rules engine has nothing to score. File a full DPR at an SBI SME-intensive branch or a PSB MSME centre for manual appraisal with CGTMSE cover. This is the route for greenfield projects.
  • Stand-Up Mitra portal. Online application for Stand-Up India loans to any scheduled bank.
  • JanSamarth portal. One application for government credit-linked schemes; it routes to 200+ lenders.

Where the money is

Promising industries in Karnataka

Sectors where state policy, central missions and lender appetite line up in 2026. Each card shows the scheme stack to pitch first and the trap to check before you promise anything.

Robotics, AI & automation

Strongest pull

Karnataka's startup policy names AI and robotics as priority sectors; ELEVATE NxT funds deep-tech up to ₹1 Cr; ARTPARK at IISc runs robotics residencies; the Deep Tech Decade plan adds robotics hubs in Bengaluru, Mysuru and Hubballi.

Pitch first

  • ELEVATE NxT (up to ₹1 Cr)
  • ARTPARK residency or incubation
  • STPI IGNITE (closes 25 Oct 2026)
  • MeitY TIDE 2.0 / SAMRIDH
  • CGSS for venture debt; MCGS-MSME if they make robots

Check: ARTPARK excludes pure software. Hardware robotics units also qualify for the state capital subsidy outside Bengaluru Urban.

Electronics & semiconductors

Strongest pull

National push on components and chip design. The DLI scheme reimburses design cost; ECMS (₹22,919 Cr) pays component makers; Karnataka's Industrial Policy lists ESDM as a focus sector.

Pitch first

  • DLI (design firms): up to 50% of design spend, cap ₹15 Cr
  • ECMS (component makers, larger projects)
  • Karnataka capital subsidy + CGTMSE for MSMEs
  • ZED certification for supplier qualification

Check: ECMS and DLI run in windows. Confirm they are open before preparing a DPR.

Manufacturing: EV, aerospace, precision

Steady

The richest subsidy stack for MSMEs: 10–35% capital subsidy by zone, stamp-duty waivers, plus sector policies for clean mobility (2025–30) and aerospace & defence (2022–27).

Pitch first

  • Karnataka capital subsidy (Zone 1/2 best)
  • Clean Mobility or Aerospace Policy, whichever pays more
  • CGTMSE (≤ ₹10 Cr) or MCGS-MSME (machinery ≤ ₹100 Cr)
  • PMEGP for new units ≤ ₹50 L
  • Stand-Up India for women / SC-ST promoters

Check: Bengaluru Urban units get no MSME capital subsidy; a taluk choice can be worth ₹25–35 L. Contract labour must stay under 40% for policy incentives.

IT, SaaS & GCCs

Steady

Karnataka's new IT Policy 2025–30 has 16 incentives, nine new, most aimed at units outside Bengaluru, and now covers GCCs. Startup Policy reimbursements stack on top.

Pitch first

  • KITS reimbursements: PF/ESI up to ₹12 L, SGST, patents
  • IT Policy incentives for Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi-Dharwad, Kalaburagi units
  • ELEVATE grant (up to ₹50 L)
  • Startup India Seed Fund; CGSS debt
  • Government First pilots (up to ₹25 L)

Check: IT Policy amounts and caps await notified guidelines. Quote categories, not rupee figures, for now.

Education, EdTech & skilling

Selective

Funding depends on the legal form. A Pvt Ltd EdTech product company is a startup and can get startup grants. A school, college or coaching institute is a different case: it is excluded from CGTMSE and relies on ordinary bank loans against property.

Pitch first

  • EdTech startup: ELEVATE, MeitY TIDE 2.0, Startup India Seed Fund, CGSS
  • Skilling provider: CGFSSD, so learners get collateral-free loans up to ₹7.5 L paid to you
  • Government First pilots with education departments
  • Institutions: LAP / term loans (your core product)

Check: CGTMSE lists educational and training institutions as ineligible. For CGFSSD, courses must be NSQF-aligned or on Skill India Digital Hub.

Pharma, ORS & cosmetics

Steady

Capex-heavy greenfield units with 12–18 months of licensing before the first sale. These are funded on project reports, not turnover. The task is to get a moratorium that covers the licensing period and to put pre-operative costs in the project cost.

Pitch first

  • Stand-Up India (women / SC-ST, up to 18-month moratorium)
  • CGTMSE cover on term loan + WC (90% for women-led)
  • MCGS-MSME if machinery is ≥75% of cost (2-year moratorium)
  • KSFC loan with KSWDC interest subsidy (women)
  • Karnataka capital subsidy, claimed after commercial production
  • RPTUAS later, for existing pharma units upgrading to revised Schedule M

Check: WHO-formula ORS needs a drug manufacturing licence. FSSAI bars the word "ORS" on electrolyte drinks. Cosmetics need a COS-8 licence. Build the timeline around these approvals.

Biotech & food processing

Steady

Bengaluru is India's biotech hub; BIRAC and Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre anchor early funding. Food processing has the most generous micro-unit subsidy, if PMFME is renewed.

Pitch first

  • BIRAC BIG (up to ₹50 L)
  • ELEVATE NxT for biotech
  • WEscalate life-sciences track for women founders
  • PMFME 35% subsidy (≤ ₹10 L), renewal pending
  • PMEGP + Karnataka capital subsidy for food units

Check: PMFME was extended only to September 2026. Confirm renewal before filing.

These rules engines run inside each bank. Advisors can't connect to them directly. The client applies through the bank's channel, consents to share data (Account Aggregator, GST, ITR), and the bank's engine decides. Your role is to get the file engine-ready before it goes in, and to be the bank's registered sourcing partner so the lead is credited to you.

Document checklist (most schemes)

Scheme terms change with circulars and annual budgets. Confirm rates, caps and open call windows on the official portal before quoting a number to a client. Items flagged "Check status" are ones where the window or renewal was not confirmed at the time of writing.
